Our HM Complex promotes healthy detoxification from common, mild, environmental heavy metal exposure. It also supports antioxidant defenses.‡
The modified citrus pectin in HM Complex can bind to low levels of heavy metals that the body can eliminate as waste, but it doesn’t appear to have this same effect with other minerals, including calcium, magnesium and zinc. Other important ingredients in this formula include sulforaphane, from broccoli sprout concentrate, for detoxification and protection against oxidative stress (an imbalance of free radicals and antioxidants). It also includes chlorella, which has a long history of traditional use in detoxification support, especially in helping to regulate common heavy metal exposure. HM Complex includes in its formula selenium and NAC.‡
How To Use
3 capsules daily, between meals, or as directed by a health professional.
Science & Research
Studies suggest that selenium may bind to mercury, while NAC promotes the elimination of methylmercury. In addition, NAC provides important support for detoxification by promoting the production of an important antioxidant, called glutathione. Preclinical studies suggest that the alpha lipoic acid in this formula may help to moderate heavy metal-induced oxidative stress.‡
