It plays a role in supporting the healthy functioning of the brain, heart, gallbladder, vascular system and eyes and electrically stabilizes cell membranes. It facilitates the passage of sodium, potassium and, most likely, calcium and magnesium into and out of cells. It supports healthy enzyme activity in the heart muscle and contributes to the muscle’s contractibility. Taurine also aids in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and helps the body’s chemistry to support the normal detoxification process. "Pure Encapsulations is a great company. I appreciate that they search for, and use, organic GMO-free ingredients whenever possible and make so many vegetarian friendly products. My only wish would be that they'd expedite shipping for refrigerated probiotics and include icepack(s) and use styrofoam (or a nature friendly version) to insulate the ice from melting. Spending $90+ for 25-60% dead bacteria isn't a fair deal. That said everything else is tops with PE. MD recommended, mother approved."
