I am very pleased with
"I am very pleased with the results so far. I have dealt with high cholesterol (well high LDL) for over 40 years (since being told I my 20s). I have been on many statins. Some did not work, others worked but at expense of elevated liver enzymes or other impact and needed to switch. I stopped those and went with an injectable earlier in 2025 to see how well it worked on its own. After dealing with the spike of going off my statin (yes they do work), it did start to bring down my LDL but not a whopping drop. Perhaps that is best anyway. At a follow up my Cardiologist said we might consider an additional drug that works differently and eliminates cholesterol through the gut. Well, I read on the benefits plant sterols and how they are incorporated into some foods. I know of a cardiologist who sells a line of food items that contains items known to reduce cholesterol and plant sterols is an ingredient. I found this and thought why not try. I researched as much as I could and did not find that it negatively interacted with another medication I take. I have been taking for about 4-5 months ??? and my blood work yesterday showed a great decrease to 114 LDL. Of course the range recommends 100 or less,?and not sure I have ever been that, but this may be the lowest and I will keep taking and hopefully having great results. I see my cardiologist later this week and will share what I am doing and do not intend to add another drug. BTW I have had advanced testing and have high LipoA, so I have a hereditary component and family history of heart issues."
